In Finding Dory, Dory will be finding herself! Pixar head revealed some plot details!

At the recent CCXP – Comic Con Experience in Brazil – the President of Disney Pixar Studios, Jim Morris, laid out some of what we can expect from the upcoming Finding Nemo sequel, Finding Dory.

According to ComicBookMovie, the film will follow Dory, Marlin, and Nemo as they embark on an epic journey to discover Dory’s origins and parents.

Apparently, much of the story will take place in the Marine Biology Institute of California – a large complex in which marine life is studied and rehabilitated. Dory discovers she was born and raised in the research facility before being released into the wild.

Morris also revealed some of the new characters we can expect to meet in Finding Dory. There are no pictures or character biographies yet, but we do know Finding Dory will feature an octopus, sea lions, and a beluga whale among others. So far, we only know that Ty Burrell will be voicing one of these characters – a beluga whale called Bailey. Diane Keaton is down to voice Dory’s mother Jenny, while Eugene Levy will voice her father, Charlie.

Of course, there’s still the possibility of Dory, Marlin, and Nemo running into some old familiar Finding Nemo faces. We’ve already heard Gill and Deb will be making the return.

Thats all for now i’ll keep you posted !

Walt Disney Animation Studios has announced that the new animated Frozen short, called Frozen Fever, will play before the upcoming live-action Cinderella film!

Cinderella opens in theaters on March 13th, 2015 and Disney has confirmed that Frozen Fever will play before it! That’s only four months until we get a new fix of Elsa, Anna and the gang! Check out the synopsis for Frozen Fever below:

In Frozen Fever, it’s Anna’s birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa’s icy powers may put more than just the party at risk.
The short was directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, who were the team behind the feature length film. Fans can also look forward to the short featuring a new song by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, the amazing husband and wife duo behind Let it Go!

I cannot wait to see this new short film, and who knows, if it is the rousing success I know it will be, maybe Disney will finally confirm a Frozen 2! We can dream! ahhh

Top Secret Disney Secrets

With that level of cultural spread, though, comes another side to Disney. A side that is, usually without meaning to, hiding a dark, secret underbelly, both in the movies and the legendary Disneyland itself. Here are five of the most disturbing…

1. When Donald Duck was a Natzi

Yup, way back in 1943, Donald Duck starred in an animated short named Der Fuehrer’s Face. As a Nazi.

donaldD Nazi

Now, in fairness, the short was actually a World War II propaganda piece, in which (spoilers) Donald eventually realizes that the whole thing is a dream.

But still tries to give the Statue of Liberty the Nazi salute.

Because, yes, that was a thing, and now I can’t unsee it.

Unsurprisingly, Disney keep the short pretty firmly under wraps, despite it winning an Oscar in the year it was released…

Disneyland itself, though, isn’t exactly free of controversy…

2. There’s a real skull on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride

Specifically, that one, right there, in the headboard.

That skull and crossbones is an actual, factual set of human bones – as Disney staff themselves are happy to confirm.

Pirates of the C

No word on whose bones they actually are, though…

However, there’ve been much bigger troubles than that at Disneyland…

3. The happiest day on Earth has a sex crime problem

Specifically, at least 35 different Disneyland employees have been arrested since 2006 for sex crimes involving children.

disneyland-these-dark-disney-secrets-are-super-creepy

The only thing that makes that horrifying number seem ever-so-slightly less horrendous? According to Ernie Allen, president of the International Center for Missing and Exploited Children:

“It’s hard to imagine any company that’s done more, that cares more, that’s trying harder on these issues and part of the reason is Disney recognizes that it’s a magnet, it’s a magnet that is sort of America’s symbol for children.”
Though that doesn’t make it any less appalling…

Comparatively, the fact that…

4. Woody in Toy Story was originally evil

…seems pretty tame by comparison.

Woody

That said, though, Woody was originally intended to be a bitter, cynical and cruel ventriloquist’s dummy, who the other toys eventually threw out of the window.

So it wasn’t quite what we ended up seeing on screen.

Unlike Beauty and the Beast, where we totally saw that…

5. The Beast had a room full of murder victims

Specifically, the mysterious (and forbidden) West Wing of the Beast’s castle, which was full of destroyed furniture.

west-wing-beauty-and-the-beast-these-dark-disney-secrets-are-super-creepy

Furniture that was, presumably, once a number of whimsical singing characters (and one-time members of The Beast’s entourage), who the Beast straight up rage-murdered.

Something tells me Uncle Walt would’ve been livid…

Frozen 2!

Okay so far this is a rumor that has been going around but it came from some reliable sources that there is more in store for our beloved Elsa and Anna! I’m so excited I don’t know about you guys!

olaf and sven

So the voice of Elsa, Idina Manzel confirmed that there is a Frozen 2 in the works!

Manzel was in an interview with The Telegraph were she was asked about the rumors of a possible second movie and a staged musical and she said

“that they’re all in the works, ha ha!”

FrozenActress

She plans to continue working towards the second movie, but not the stage show. Although there hasn’t been any “official” conformation from Disney yet. (But common that’s only a matter of time right?!)

But that’ not the only reason why there’s reason to believe the second movie will be coming out sooner than later. If your crazy about Disney like me then I’m going to hope that you watch Once Upon A Time (if not I strongly recommend it to everyone, on ABC!) Anyway this season which is ending next week in the mid season finally is all about Frozen, they have their own Elsa and Anna!

FrozenABC

Anyway back on track, their Elsa, Georgina Haig, spoke out about her character and the role she plays on the show. She was asked if she thought this would be the last time she put on the Elsa dress and this was her response,

“I think Disney’s making a Frozen 2, so they might have their own ideas about where the story is going,so there is all that they need to work out…”

frozenABC2

So there’s another reason for ya! Who would know better than these two Elsa’s?

Reasons for Frozen 2:

1. This movie was the highest-grossing animated film of all time

2. Frozen in the top gift for the Holidays

FrozenToys FrozenToys2

What more do you need?! This is an amazing idea, run with it Disney!

This confirmation would be a great gift for the Holidays!

Hook: Christopher Walken

Has been in way too many things to say but heres some just to name a few,

A wide range of his film credits has grossed more than $1 billion domestically, including Woody Allen’s “Annie Hall,” “Pennies from Heaven,” “The Dead Zone,” “At Close Range,” “Biloxi Blues” with Matthew Broderick, “King of New York,” 2004’s “Man On Fire,” “Man of the Year,” the 2005 comedy “Wedding Crashers,” “Hairspray,” “True Romance,” “Pulp Fiction,” “Batman Returns,” “Seven Psychopaths” and “A Late Quartet.”

Walken’s theater accolades and honors include the Clarence Derwent Award for “The Lion in Winter;” the Obie Award for Chekhov’s “The Seagull” performed at the New York Shakespeare Festival; the Theatre World Award for “The Rose Tattoo;” and a Tony nomination for his role in James Joyce’s “The Dead.”

Shocking News

So when I was little one of my favorite movies was The Rescuers, I thought it was so cute. Anyway it was really shocking to find out this little scandal.

On 8 January 1999, Disney announced a recall of the home video version of their 1977 animated feature The Rescuers because it contained an “objectionable background image.”

Scandalous right?! Just wait till you see the picture!

That image was one which appeared in a scene approximately 38 minutes into the film: as rodent heroes Bianca and Bernard fly through the city in a sardine box strapped to the back of Orville, proprietor of Albatross Air Charter Service, the photographic image of a topless woman can be seen at the window of a building in the background in two different non-consecutive frames, first in the bottom left corner, then at the top center portion of the frame:

resc2big resc1

So unlike other Disney films this is clearly something that was blatantly added and Disney was saying that there was some tampering with one of the copes.

As a result Disney recalled more than 3.4 million copies of the movie.

At first no one knew why the film was being recalled, Disney was keeping everything under wraps until they sorted everything out. The only thing people knew were that there were hidden items inside.

So creepy right? After I found this out I was officially creeped out and wondered how many people were watching this movie not even noticing what was in it.

Sleeping Beauty

So here are some recent things I have found out about Disneys Sleeping Beauty that I thought were pretty interesting, hope you like them!

1.Versions of Sleeping Beauty have been published by both Charles Perrault and the Brothers Grimm. Perrault called his heroine Aurora, while the Grimms’ “Little Briar Rose” referred to their princess as, well, Briar Rose. Disney split the difference and used both names.

2.Prince Phillip is said to have been named after another royal that Americans would have been familiar with during that time period: Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II.

SB&Prince

3. Instead of three  fairies, the original version included seven (Other versions include up to 13, making the evil fairy the unlucky addition.) The gifts the seven fairies bestowed in Perrault’s tale were beauty, wit, grace, dance, song, and music. In Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, this was truncated to beauty and song. Coincidence I think not.

SB Faries

4. Mary Costa, the voice of Sleeping Beauty, is a professional opera singer and has performed in more than 40 operatic roles on stage. She sang at a memorial service for John F. Kennedy at the request of Jackie Kennedy after Jackie heard her sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the Academy Awards! I mean how cool is that?!

5. Costa is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, and her southern accent almost prevented her from getting the job. Animator Marc Davis said that after some deliberation, the team decided that if an Englishwoman like Vivien Leigh could pull off a southern accent for Gone with the Wind, a southern girl could sustain an English accent for Sleeping Beauty.

6. Though Mary Costa provided the voice for Aurora, Helene Stanley was the live action reference. She also served as the reference for Cinderella and Anita from 101 Dalmatians.

7. So now you know that Helene Stanley provided the live-action model and Mary Costa provided the voice—but there was at least one other inspiration for Princess Aurora’s features and body type: Audrey Hepburn.

8. When the fairies discuss how to help the king and queen early on in the film, Merryweather makes cookies in the shape of a classic Mickey Mouse head. (Hidden Mickey here guys!)

9. Although it’s a classic now, Sleeping Beauty was not a darling at the time. Critics thought the movie moved slowly and lacked character development. How rude! Right?!

10. In fact, Sleeping Beauty was such a box office bomb (at least, compared to the cost of production) that the company decided that princess movies weren’t exactly the wave of the future. They didn’t make another princess movie until 30 years later, when The Little Mermaid was released in 1989.

SB & Princesses

11. Another reason it took six years to bring Princess Aurora and friends to life was that Walt was kinda sidetracked with another project at the time: Disneyland. The castle there was originally supposed to be named after the original Disney princess, Snow White, but in order to promote the film, Imagineers changed it to Sleeping Beauty Castle.

SBcastle

12. The fairytale book that opens the movie was real and was entirely handpainted by Eyvind Earle, the man responsible for the entire look and feel of the movie. It was restored in 2008 and is now part of the Disney Archives, where it is sometimes put on display at events. How cool is that?!

SBbookpgs SBbook

13. Walt worried about the constant comparisons to Snow White and Cinderella, so he worked with Earle to come up with the stylized, angular Sleeping Beauty look, which was very painstaking and time consuming. “That’s why it took us six years and $6 million to make Sleeping Beauty. But to us, it was worth it,” Walt once said. Earle also worked on Peter Pan and Lady and the Tramp, among others.

Olaf Appreciation

So as I’m sure everyone already knows I love Frozen and Olaf especially Olaf, I mean common who doesn’t love him? Right? Right?

olaf nose

So this post is going to be a few little things I have learned about this lovable little snowman.

The Idea of Olaf

In very early versions of the movie, Olaf was suppose to be one of the first guards of Elsa’s palace.

I mean come on that would have been horrible right?

In order to keep him from getting too complex, Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee wanted Olaf to have a childlike innocence. Like when a child makes a snowman for the first time where the heads are never perfect, and the body is disproportionate. That was the idea for the directors when they were thinking what kids would think of a snowman.

olaf blanket

The Voice of Olaf

Josh Gad, the voice of Olaf, did plenty of improv during the course of the recording sessions. But they didn’t want him to take over the story. He is there to interject levity to the scenes. But they also gave him proper screen time. One of his major scenes will be when he sings his musical number “In The Summer.” Which common who didn’t love that song??

olaf hat

His Purpose

For those of you who haven’t already guessed it Olaf stood as a symbol of the love between Elsa and Anna

olaf and sven

So this wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t add my own little personal picture so this is my little guy Mr. Bentley and his little Olaf friend, as up can see he likes hugs too!

New Disney World Rumors!

Discussions are underway in Egypt, Disney International to open the park, according to country’s investment minister!

Disney is considering building its world-famous amusement park for the first time in the Middle East in Egypt. There are discussions going on that this Disney park is going to be similar to Disney France!

Word is there are rumors going around that the reason for this new park is because it would send a message to the world and foreign investors that Egypt is safe and stable. Oh and it would also help with their tourism and economy.

When I find out more I’ll let you know!
